The Tobii Dynavox suite of Apps

The Tobii Dynavox suite of apps is a collection of communication and accessibility tools that have been specifically designed to support individuals with disabilities. The suite consists of four primary applications: TD Talk, TD Control, TD Browse, and TD Phone. Each of these apps offers unique features and benefits to help individuals with disabilities communicate and access technology in a way that suits their needs. This suite of apps is available only on Tobii Dynavox’s I-Series devices.

Let’s take a brief look at each of the applications:

TD Control is an intuitive way of interacting with and controlling your computer via eye tracking. It’s designed for people with conditions such as cerebral palsy, ALS/MND and spinal cord injury who cannot use their hands but want full, independent use of their computer. TD Control enables users to navigate and control the Windows environment in a natural way, using the software and websites of their choice. TD Control users can stay connected via email and social media, play their favorite games, read best sellers and watch the latest shows. With TD Control you can start as an eye gaze novice and progress easily to control your computer completely using just your eyes

TD Browse enables easy navigation of Web Browsers

TD Browse is a custom-built app for browsing the web with just your eyes in a familiar way, even without previous eye tracking experience. It is designed for people who cannot use their hands to browse the internet due to conditions such as ALS/MND, cerebral palsy, Rett syndrome, spinal cord injury or traumatic brain injury. Scroll, surf and click in an intuitive way and switch naturally between these functions. Hit large and small targets with precision using color links. Move left, right, up and down. Quickly recall preferred websites from your browsing history. TD Browse comes pre-loaded on I-Series (I-13 and I-16) devices, available in a number of languages (with more to come).

TD Phone is a communication app that enables individuals with disabilities to make and receive phone calls using a range of communication tools, such as text messaging, video calling, and voice calls. The app includes a range of accessibility features, such as switch scanning and touch-based navigation, to enable individuals with disabilities to use the app more easily. TD Phone can also be integrated with other Tobii Dynavox products, such as TD Snap.

TD Talk is a speech generating app for literate adults with communication disabilities such as ALS/MND, multiple sclerosis, muscular dystrophy and cerebral palsy. It empowers people to talk using just their eyes or fingers. Choose from a large selection of languages and voices to express yourself as naturally as possible. Engage more actively in conversations with fast, predictive sentence construction, easy in-sentence editing, and the ability to display your typed text to your conversation partner in the rear-facing Partner Window. Use a custom, synthetic clone of your natural voice, with a choice from among several leading voice banking providers. TD Talk is pre-loaded on TD Pilot, an iPad-based speech generating device controlled with your eyes.

One of the key benefits of the Tobii Dynavox suite of apps is that they are designed to work together, providing individuals with a comprehensive communication and accessibility solution. For example, TD Talk and TD Phone can be used together to provide individuals with a range of communication tools that can be used in different situations.

Overall, the Tobii Dynavox suite of apps provides individuals with disabilities with a range of powerful communication and accessibility tools. The apps are designed to work together to provide a comprehensive solution to support individuals in their daily lives. Whether an individual is looking to communicate with others, access technology, or control their environment, the suite of apps offers a range of features and benefits to support their needs. With the support of these apps, individuals with disabilities can more easily participate in daily activities, communicate with others, and access technology to improve their quality of life.
